A bucket full of news!

Phew, so we managed to survive the flood of new sign ups after one of our users 'jamie' submitted us to reddit.com. His submission resulted in roughly 400 immediate sign ups, which sent us into a frenzy and literally increased our user base by 300%. Crazy stuff.

So what has happened since then? Well, for one, we have broken our 500 users mark (with ~200 rejected account sign ups), in less than 3 days.

We went ahead and have improved a bunch of stuff as well:

1. We've installed a plethora of tools:

LaTex, more browsers, more mail clients, python, ruby gems, znc, tcl and a whole lot of other stuff.

2. You can now access your personal sites by going to 'your_username.devio.us'.

3. We have swapped out some (possibly) faulty hardware, patched our kernel and enabled bigmem support.

4. We have updated our usage policy to include some important info about tunneling and premium account background philosophies.

So yeah, this is a pretty exciting time to be a part of our little club.
