I should have used a newer stock firmware and not the original one but I'm probally flagged for the next ban wave. Live works and i'm on LT+2.0 firmware so at least I'll be able to play the newer XGD3 backups. --- I finally got banned about 30 minutes ago. My firmware was LT+ 1.9, dash is 13599 and for the past 2 days ive been getting a update is required message from xbox live. So I flashed back to stock this morning, went online and accepted the update. It said update could not be processed and gave a error code. I went to xbox live support and looked up the code that ended in C000-0099 and its a modification/tampering one. I've always flashed back to stock and never put in a backup ap 2.5 disc (i have retail black ops, halo reach, ect.). Oh well, those slims look better than the phats anyway haha. Ive got a few months of gold left... im gonna miss crysis 2. Maybe it was a bad flash this morning... dunno what happened here. Ill try out xlink kai or something... Its been awhile... Updates peeps! Lets see... 9/25/2011 1:26am (kidacro) Grandmas House is up and running on eBay, Discogs, Etsy, and Antiques.com. The official url for the website is http://grandmashousesale.com People with endless funds do need apply! Thanks in advance. Im trying to find a job at a nearby college/university in a computer lab trying to work the way up the ladder and get free classes at the same time (why not?). I havent coded in awhile that wasnt business related but thats ok... code is code, profit or not. I still miss the olden days of a semi-carefree life but who doesnt. (Example: Waking up in a graveyard or penns landing and actually satisfied with the hangover because of the night before.) My Xbox gaming is full-on again as Im in training for several tournaments that are coming up. Crysis 2, Tekken 6, and Black Ops are my focus thus far. Although the AP 2.5 checks are stopping me from playing the latter game.... grrrrr (cheap/broke is all). Ive been working on legalese for friends and may have a career in it - NOT (no seriously, definitely not). Also im re-discovering college radio stations to get back into reality as it were... I miss the old WKDU (Drexel University) circa 1998; then again it could be the music currently available nowadays. Prolly could be that I knew a hot DJ back then when I went to CCP (KKF for Philly folks). Life is... well ya know... (fill in blanks here). Edit biz docs, grab a few torrents to the phone or my pc, vnc into my gateway pc and control literally everything while listening to my latest mix I downloaded with "Million Mp3 Downloader". Playing Space Invaders while editing some code, sshing into my machine to have a dvd burned for when I come home, designing a storm water management system for a building... its uses seem unlimited. The battery could be better but its a damn linux box in my left hand... can't complain too much. Also can't imagine a dual core smartphone with more memory but its nearly here. Fuck the tricoder, Ill take the droid and video conference my friends and my boss, all while sending proof of concept pics explaining my shit. This year and the years to come will be truly epic in the smartphone/tab world. My Tutorial Notes 11/11/2010 11:57pm (kidacro) Notes on Mentor/Tutoring 10-14 year olds in IT My curriculum would start by getting the students to respect the equipment they are working with. It is not enough to simply show them how to use a computer via whatever operating system is used; XP, Vista, 7, OSX, *BSD, or Linux. Before using software you must be able to have a basic understanding of the underlying hardware. For this reason I propose at the beginning of the session we take apart older computers, learning about the most necessary hardware components before we use them. This will give any student a reason to respect the equipment they are using to ultimately help learn the proper respect for other things in life. They will solve a basic problem about their own in class/shared computer and become proud of what they accomplished. John's opinion of leadership roles within the program are vital in order for the younger kids to understand the material. Older students can be partnered with their younger counterparts to help guide them through the session. Making the students interested in the process is my #1 concern as if they are not already interested in computers they will find hardware troubleshooting boring and tedious. However I feel the 1st step is so important I would risk chaos and refer to more experienced teachers and mentors to guide the students through the session. Once the hardware introduction phase is completed, they will be able to start learning the software side of computing. Training in the most current and used programs available, the students academic skills would dramatically improve. Microsoft Office is a staple in the business community and as such would be a required part of the curriculum. Teaching students report writing, presentations, and keeping track of their own grades with Excel/Access would only motivate them to do well. Most if not all homework would be completed, typed, and spell checked, sending a clear message to their respective teachers that the they are serious about their work. Operating systems are programs in their selves and need to be covered as a part of basic software education. I would like to stress the point that while Microsoft Windows shares a dominate market share with other OS's in use; there are many other contenders and a introduction to the most popular ones will only improve the students overall standing. Mac OSX shares a dominating school presence due to ease of use but Windows still rules the business world. Linux and its counterparts dominate the back-end of the business world; they are the servers that support the Internet, database applications, web servers, mail servers, and more. Basic understanding of the different uses of Operating Systems in the world is very crucial as technology moves ahead. Ultimately I want the students to respect the equipment, the craft, and each other to gain a better understanding of technology in this new world. |
